PERMAMNANT EMPLOYMENT VISAS

Employer nomination Scheme (ENS) Subclass 186 

Nominator requirements must be fulfilled by the employer who is nominating you. 

There are three possible streams.

• Direct entry
• Temporary Resident Transition Stream
• Labour agreement 

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme Subclass 187 

Nominations from regional based employers  for a position based in a regional area.

• Direct Entry stream
• Temporary Resident Transition Stream

Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa

This will be available from November 2022

TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT VISAS

Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) Subclass 482 visa

This visa sub class replaced the 457 visa from 18 March 2018. 

There are three streams available under this visa category.

Short Term Stream:  

• For short term positions in the relevant Skilled Occupation List with visa grant period of 2 years.

Medium Term Stream:

For skilled workers with an occupation in the relevant MLTSSL. Visa grant period is up to 4 years and pathway to Permeant Residency is available.

Labour Agreement Stream: 

For employers who have secured a labour agreement with Government.

Skilled Employer Sponsored (Provisional)

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional)

These two categories of visas will be available from December 2019
