Student Subclass 500

This is available for a wide range of prospective students. You may simply want to improve your English language or want to enrol for English language courses as a pathway for higher education. You may want to pursue with vocational training or may want to start higher education in Australia.

There are Age, English language and Access to Funds requirements.

Student Guardian Subclass 590

This is available for parents/legal guardians of a young student under 18 years of age to provide accommodation, support and general welfare of the student.

Graduate Subclass 485 

If you are  an overseas student who has recently completed your studies in Australia and seek opportunity to gain work experience, attend a professional year or improve English language proficiency to be eligible to apply for other permanent visa streams, you may wish to apply for this visa.

There are two streams in this category.

Post study work stream

This is for students who have graduated with a bachelor degree or higher  

Graduate work Stream

This is for students who have graduated with an award other than a degree 

Skilled Recognised Graduate Subclass 476

This is for students who have graduated from certain overseas tertiary institutions
